With Anime Japan 2021 being a a few days away, we've gotten a look (2) at the exclusive products. There are 2 Adventure: products, featuring the previously shown off new art of Taichi.
Digimon has generally had sizeable displays at Anime Japan (with occasional news appearing), and like they did in 2018 with tri., Taichi shows up in the key art for the 2021 event, featuring a number of classic and modern anime characters.
The art features Taichi holding his Digivice: and wearing an Anime Japan 2021 branded shirt.
There will be can badges for 400 yen each (random, Taichi is included in Selection B) and acrylic stands for 1,430 yen each (not random.)
We also have a clean look at both products, minus the bottom portion of the stand.
The product page points out they will not be shipping these overseas when they go up to order, so you'll need an intermediary to order them online once pre-orders begin.
Pre-orders begin on March 27th via Animate and will be taken until April 11th.
We've currently pared down the list of intermediaries we list due to some places closing and others becoming iffy in their communication, calling into question their reliability. If you have any stories, positive or negative, about any intermediaries, DM me with them so we can figure out who might be worth adding (or re-adding), since these aren't affiliate links or anything, simply suggested ways to make it easier for fans to nab stuff.
You'll want to contact an intermediary to get these items sent to you. WtW is not affiliated with any, but here are a selection of intermediaries that have worked well for various WtWers and their friends in the past:
You'll want to provide your chosen intermediary with the link to the item. Just copy paste the link to the product pages for what you want and send them a message about it and they'll take care of it after they discuss pricing and their policies with you. The links embedded in the news article for the products are exactly what you'll need to send them.
Some of the intermediaries have a full storefront and may have the item listed, so you may want to check that first.
A profile of Anime Japan we've used for a few years (altered year by year as appropriate). It doesn't quite apply this year, but should explain the (normal) intent of the event:
Anime Japan is a massive exhibition event in Tokyo. It's more akin to E3 than what we'd think of as an anime convention (in fact, the first 2 days are all business seminars and such that aren't open to the general public.)
During the days open to the public many companies will be showing off anime merchandise, new and upcoming anime, and tons of related content.
The online event this year is March 27th and 28th. Tickets for viewing are available, and events will have a very short archive period for those who can't view live (just a bit over a day it appears.)
It appears they will still have the dedicated business days this year on March 29th and 30th, but no ticketing for those publicly, as expected.
