Angoramon & Jellymon Previews for Booster Set 13

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with card previews from Booster Set 13 VS Royal Knights. This time it's Angoramon & Jellymon.

Angoramon features him having a light lunch, while Jellymon features her relaxing underwater with a number of other Jellymon.

Bold of you to assume that the GG cast dont end up becoming Royal Knights after Gankoomon retires.

In all seriousness, it is a bit odd since this set has nothing to do with Ghost Game. I get them wanting to promote it, but doing so in a royal knights and savers themed set feels weird since it already has 2 other themes. I'm assuming they wont include the entire lines for all of them though this set.

I wonder if Burgamon made that burger for Angoramon?

They probably just there too fill in some green and blue spots because they don’t know what other blue and green rookies to add besides Kamemon, Gaomon, and Lalamon, they did the same with X-Antibody and Xross Wars themed Boosters.

Is not odd, is extremely common for trading card games main sets to have remaining support from recently introduced cards and themes. This is one of the many ways you keep players who just bought something coming back.

Huh Angoramon sure eat alot. Nice to see Burgamon continues to appear indirectly. No longer existing only at food involvements.

Let's hope there'll be more new food digimons in 2023.

It's not an EX booster. And just like other non EX boosters, there will be some randoms in the set. Now they are the random of this set.

And I think it's fair considering the Adventure 2020 characters appeared in many boosters when the anime airs. The privilege of an ongoing anime I would say.

Their big presence in RB-1 is a greater justification for inclusion. It's predominantly a reprint set that has some new cards. People waiting for their chance to jump in will likely do so during RB1 as a way of jumpstarting a collection. Chasing that with support for the new core cards for the GG protags in BT13 means new players who got attached to them in RB1 have more incentive to stick with it. Also, most sets have randoms in them to backfill lines or subthemes.

Evade on a rookie is a bit odd, but jellymon at least has a decent inheritable (that powercreeps literally every other blue rookie with a similar effect).

Angoramon having blocker with no downsides is pretty sweet for the early game, but his inheritable isnt all that much to write home about with how conditional it is.
