Amphimon & Dilbitmon Promo Card Previews

After an early peek from magazine images, we have some decent quality previews of the upcoming promo cards of Amphimon and Dilbitmon.

The first cards for the Ultimate forms of Jellymon & Angoramon will be included in the February 2023 cover dated issue of Saikyo Jump, which will be on sale on January 4th, and is labeled as a special 'Extra Large Issue'.

The new previews gives us our best look yet at Amphimon and her mech/diving suit design, along with the best non-sprite look at Dilbitmon, who feels like he has a bit of a different style than the sprite showed off.

Maybe it's not their DRB artwork then? If it is that's kinda boring but, they do make nice cards. Guess I just don't like the hyper colluseum format of the other DRB cards.

I love him. Best Ghost Game partner.

As for the cards, they're decent but not super powerful. Amphimon is trying to slow down the game whereas Dilbitmon is trying to set up combat kills, however they both need a good board state on your end to support what they're trying to do. Solid cards, but perhaps more for casual play than for games against tier 1 decks

For every card trashed by this effect, you may choose to trash 1 card from the bottom of cards underneath your opponent's Digimon or Tamers. [Opponent's Turn] (Once Per Turn) When your opponent's Digimon attacks, you may return 3 cards with [Jellymon] in their name from your trash to the bottom of your deck to end that attack.

[When Digivolving] Suspend 2 of your opponent's Digimon.
[All Turns] (Once Per Turn) When your Digimon deletes an opponent's Digimon in battle and survives, if this Digimon has [Angoramon] in its digivolution cards, unsuspend 1 of your Digimon.

His helmet is opaque but there is a face that we will see one way or another.

Now, the Types of our ultimates:

- Siriusmon is a Light Dragon, a type only used by Shine Greymon and its variants so far.

- Diarbitmon is a Beast-Knight, type containing Cres Garurumon and Mirage Gaogamon (and its variants)

- Amphimon is ... a Cyborg, a type who has a lot of representatives besides she is the 100th cyborg of the license

On the trio, we have two Vaccines and a Data

As a bonus, we will also discuss the future threat:

- Regulusmon is an Evil Dragon like Megidramon.

- Arcturusmon is a Dragon Man like Gulus

- Proximamon is a Unique like Chaosmon

It really sets the tone for what's next (and they're all Virus of course)

Cyborg....? Shoot. I seriously was hoping Amphimon might be the first Mollusk or Aquatic Beast Man Ultimate level....
But I guess having Cyborg type confirms "Jellymon" isn't piloting the mech suit but she is just like MetalGreymon, who combined the fleshy meat and machine parts to live. So the bigger image made it clear to see her.

Now it does look like it's freaking diving suit but it still gives me Iron Man vibes. How interesting. Her face is completely covered unlike Mastemon whose is fully clothed. It makes me wonder if she can unmask like Ofanimon did?

And Dilbitmon... Yup it's really Noble Prince War General vibes. Beast Knight type huh so I will welcome him!

They managed to make amazing cards with only their bandai arts, thats cool.

These guys are meant to be in Rising Wind too, so unless they're reprinting these promos twice in a month maybe the RW ones will have animu art.

Given the future threat (if we trust their profiles), with a Gammamon becoming Berserker, it will necessarily take the other two at the Ultimates level to stop it...

Also, apart from the Siriusmon card which currently only has the teased anime style, I remind you that the Lamortmon, Tethysmon and Canoweissmon cards have been teased with the graphic style so that the Diarbitmon and Amphimon cards have the same teasing is no surprise.

We'll have the Ultimates, that's for sure... Now that Angoramon's BEM doesn't come out before February 2023 and we still don't have a date for Jellymon's BEM, it's not for now the Ultimates (and it also delays Siriusmon since we can imagine that the unlocking of the Ultimates will be done at the same time...)

Not necessarilly. There seem to be 3 "eyes" underneath the mask if you look closely.

To be fair, one of those spots is actually shine from light reflection. The two bottom spots are presumably actual eyes though.

I read it less like a MetalGreymon where she combined with machinery to extend her life and more her doing so to explore depths of the ocean/space that few have ever accessed before much like your diving suit / Iron Man comparison.
I can be completely wrong when its profile comes out, though

I mean, yeah, obviously, Thetismon was already a cyborg. In fact she's more of a cyborg in one way than Metalgreymon, she has two giant metal hands connected by cables instead of one giant metal hand connected by a cable.

I have a feeling that if a Digimon were to be a being inside of a mecha it would be classified as "Cyborg" still. Does any such Digimon exist yet?

I immediately thought of Ginkakumon Promote and Vulcanusmon but they're "Oni/Demon" and "God Man/Deity" type respectively since those traits of them seem to be more prominent than being mechs

Mechanorimon is something similar and it is a Machine, though I think it is the mecha itself rather than the pilot, going by the reference book.

Amphimon is giving me huge megagargomon vibes. I wonder if her non-promo cards will end up having a similar statline to megagargomon (13Play 5Evo 13000Dp).

I hope they also continue the "trash cards in hand for extra attacks" mechanic they started with teslajellymon in BT9
