The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with card previews from Booster Set EX-04 Alternative Being. This time it's Agumon (Black) & Gabumon (Black).

Agumon (Black) & Gabumon (Black) continue the dark Digimon we've gotten, with some crazy good new art by Kenji Watanabe, showing their evolved form above them, and some other dark Digimon variants with them.

One time I tried to explain why they don't/can't use blackguilmon and use the normal guilmon with a 4 tweets response for a guy, and then they showed that no they actually can use Blackguilmon as much as they like, they are just stupid to do it, well it is bandai we are talking I should have expected that.

Blikmon was in the background of a card in like Booster 2 and it still doesn't have a card.

I wouldn't be surprised if we also got Zwart in this set.

If it's Alter-S, that implies Alter-B, right? And it is, I believe, the only Omegamon form not in the card game so far.

Well, I find it funny to think that we just discussed some possible reasons on why BlackGuilmon cannot comeback in any media. And now he's here, even though as cameo.

Speaking of random recolor. I like that the (Autumn) Jyureimon from World 3 also exists* in social media art, days ago.

oh hey with the BlackGabumon line being re-introduced as black that BlackMetalGarurumon from BT-05 finally gets a working evolution line. Prior to that the closest thing he had were the BlackGaogamon and it's ultimate form + Psychemon to Gururumon and then MetalMamemon I guess, which were included to function as black CresGarurumon's pre-evolutions.

But as a bit of outsider I'm not sure, if that card actually still sees play. So there's that.

it's funny you say it exists then immediately compare it to Blikmon and the Chaos Generals which isn't as good of a look for Black Guilmon as you make it sound.

I can see Blikmon and Black Guilmon getting into the reference book within the next few years. I definitely don't for the Chaos Generals

Is it?
Well, I mean contextually here in DCG. Blikmon, Chaos Generals, and BlackGuilmon. All as cameo. Though Chaos Generals can be interpreted to be another digimon (just their non Chaos Generals forms because it's only silhouette), but in context, it's definitely them.

I myself can see Blikmon has the highest chance to join the DRB, then BlackGuilmon. Chaos Generals, again, not sure. Would love it if they do. Would love it more if they do some redesign, just like our ChaosMugendramon aka Chaos Lord.

I can see the report on BlackGuilmon's profile in DRB later mentioning it being very rare species that a Guilmon once used Black Digitron and have never been seen again since. It could answer so many questions on why we rarely see the species and I like how meta that would be.
