New stuff!

After the initial announcement of products from Sunstar, including the Rainy Days art, things became quiet.

But there is some new stuff to show, and these look... shockingly useable?

We have a couple of multiple use cases (multi cases) from Sunstar. First up...

Large multi cases! These come in both crest and Digimon designs. The crest design has a circuit board motif (with a few familiar lines and shapes on top of it) while the Digimon design uses the characters Adventure key art with a hexagonal pattern. Both have very clean and crisp looking designs with a bit of silver foil for a sparkling finish.

Each case measures roughly 8.7 wide x 11 height x 0.8 deep in inches.

Inside on the side you can see a debossed Botamon in both large cases. The cases feature various pockets and holders that can carry many things. They give various recommendations on what might fit inside including: cards, pens, notes, documents, calculators, and notebooks.

The back features an area where you can slide something in and still see it via a clear window. This area can still be accessed without opening up the case, and they show it off with a notebook in it.

The large multi cases is available to pre-order at Premium Bandai. Each costs 3,888 yen and ships in September.

Updated above since pre-orders are open. They also have a note that orders may close after an unstated number of sales.

In addition, small multi cases will also be available (many of the details below will be the same as they were for the large cases, but not all.)

The small multi cases also feature both crest and Digimon designs. The crest design has a circuit board motif (with a few familiar lines and shapes on top of it) while the Digimon design uses the characters Adventure key art with a hexagonal pattern. Both have very clean and crisp looking designs with a bit of silver foil for a sparkling finish.

Each case measures roughly 5.7 wide x 9.5 height x 0.8 deep in inches.

Inside on the side you can see a debossed Botamon in both cases. The cases feature various pockets and holders that can carry many things. They give various recommendations on what might fit inside including: cards, pens, notes, receipts, passports, and tickets. Interestingly, they also show US dollars, so perhaps (hopefully) these might get some easy to nab international distribution? (Likely it's just to show, but we can hope.)

The back features an area where you can slide something in and still see it via a clear window. This area has a separate snap to securely hold the item in, and they show it with a boarding pass inserted.

The cases look really nice, and actually seem rather useful. It'll be interesting to see what other items might show up from Sunstar as time goes on.

Update- Based on a tweet from Sunstar, the cases will be on display at MegaHobby Expo 2019 Spring this weekend.

Also, the Digimon Adventure 20th Staff Twitter posted an image... (Update- The tweet got pulled and reposted a few times, minus the image shrinking a bit, and potentially a typo being fixed, it appears to otherwise be the same post.)

It doesn't appear to have anything to do with them being on display at Megahobby, just showing off some production samples, but it should give anyone thinking about buying one (or more) a nice and more 'real world' look at them.

You'll want to contact an intermediary to get these items sent to you. WtW is not affiliated with any, but here are a selection of intermediaries that have worked well for various WtWers and their friends in the past:
From Japan
Rider Proxy
Nippon-Yasan

The Bandai Premium store has also chosen to affiliate themselves/recommend a few potential shops to be used as intermediaries for non-Japanese buyers:
Buyee
From Japan (this From Japan link shows various items that they waive commission fees for.)
Samurai Buyer
DEJapan

You'll want to provide your chosen intermediary with the link to the item. Just copy paste the link to the product pages for what you want and send them a message about it and they'll take care of it after they discuss pricing and their policies with you. The links embedded in the news article for the products are exactly what you'll need to send them.

Some of the intermediaries have a full storefront and may have the item listed, so you may want to check that first.

The important question is how many Vpets can I keep in one of these babies
As staff in the electronics section, it is now an official task for you to get these and let us all know.

Would probably get one if there was a XS sized one. The S is quite big for storing things that you sort of want hidden away, in my opinion.
