I'm just wondering if NeoVamdemon via NeoDevimon + Vamdemon will be a thing in later episodes if what ya'll have been saying about the aforementioned two turns out to be true? Especially if they decide to stealth reboot 02 and re-introduce the concept of Jogress/DNA Digivolution.

From the interview with the main writer they confirmed it will be running at least for a year(So like 48-50+ episodes)[.]
Was that pre- or post-COVID though? If the former, it could get turned into a thirty-nine–episode series in order to end when it began. However, I imagine that the changes would be most significant later in the series, not earlier, and that we would be more likely to see that acceleration in the back half.

They have 8 Megas to get through this time. Gotta do the ultimates early.
There would have been plenty of time to do the other ultimates during the Dark Masters arc in the original.

I’m honestly thinking they might just do straight-up alternate evolution trees after they finish the classic ones. It would explain the fact that we’ve seen Ophanimon in connection with Hikari as well: they might do that for her first tree, and Holy Dramon for her second (while everyone else is first classic, then new).

A couple of new guide listings for Digimon Adventure:.

These have short plot descriptions for episode 7, along with titles up to episode 10 (the official episode title translations in the end may very well be different than these.)

Episode 6 is also included, and airs this weekend, with most of the details below already known.

Plot synopsis/descriptions by their nature will have minor spoilers, so consider this fair warning.

Episode 6 - "The Targeted Kingdom"
Screenplay: Hiroshi Yamaguchi
Taichi and his group advance deeper into the forests. They meet a young girl named Mimi Tachikawa, who lives in the Digital World with Tanemon who treat her as their queen. They end up having to help her but...?!

Episode 7 - "That Man, Jou Kido"
Screenplay: Kenji Konuta
Taichi's group arrive at the coast to meet Jou Kido, a sixth grader from their school, and Gomamon. Jou won't accept Gomamon as his partner and also refuses to join Taichi's group for some reason. What is that reason?!

Episode 8 - "The Children's Siege of the Castle"
Screenplay: Toshiaki Satou

Episode 9 - "Perfect Levels Invade"
Screenplay: TBA

Episode 10 - "The Steel Super Evolution"
Screenplay: TBA

Thanks to onkei for translations and a friend of the site for images.
Perfect at ep 10 thinking about it in adventure 1999 the reason it took so long to reach perfect was becuse they first got the tag then had to find the crests then had to figure out how to use them where as here they seem to have their crests already so evolution to perfect will be easier

Just have two concerns/points of reservation with this preview. 1. Would prefer that Devimon is not defeated without Angemon. 2. Would still prefer that Perfect Evolution has a form of condition of achieving. This does not have to be as like the original. Still, with how the Adult sequence seems to be, the Crest might still play a part in the Perfect sequence. Wonder how Ultimate sequence and condition would be as well.

One of the other thoughts I had is that if we're getting Ultimates early on in the series + Omegamon is the "mascot", we might get a bunch of new Jogresses of the Ultimate forms as the selling point for the back half of the series, doing stuff like Rosemon x Hououmon or Ophanimon x Seraphimon.

New jogresses to compliment Omegamon would be sick.

It seems like they're saving both Takeru and Hikari for later on, which honestly, I can dig.

Tbh, with a name like "Perfect levels Invade" it sounds to me more like they are gonna meet a perfect level enemy? Maybe something like in V tamer with Triceramon, or in this series with the perfect level argomon fight in ep 2, where they need to beat it with a strategy
Although 10s title does sound like metal greymon ("steel" for metal and "super evolution" i assume is chou shinka translated) ,so eh i dont rlly know
Kinda hope it isnt that fast, this series could use a slower paced episode after they get together

I mean, if we were to assume one episode to focus on each form, for 8 Champions, 8 Ultimates (Perfects), 8 Megas, and Omnimon, then that's 25 episodes already. If we get around 50 episodes, that's really only about 1 episode without a new evo for every evo episode, presuming we don't get some new form unique to Adventure: (and seriously, this is Digimon after all). There's also likely at least one intro episode per major villain. The original Adventure gave us Kabuterimon in episode 5 and Togemon in episode 6 (for the 5th Champion), which is exactly where we are now. With the previews, we'll presumably get Ikkakumon in episode 7 as in the original. They essentially just swapped out an episode featuring the In-trainings reaching Rookie for an Omnimon preview and followed the same general road map for the first 7 episodes. One of the big differences is that we got our lore episode in episode 5 instead of episode 10.

"The Children's Siege of the Castle" is in the position of the original Devimon episode (both Devimon and Myotismon had castles of some sort in the original). That would probably be an apropos placement here as well. It would also be a good time to shake up the roadmap. I remember how V-Tamer 15 introduced a Devimon and Ogremon being Jogressed into SkullSatamon, and that always felt like a missed opportunity for Adventure given how both were featured and even semi-fused.

"Perfect Levels Invade" sounds much more like villainous Digimon than the partner Digimon. So "The Steel Super Evolution" (episode 10) might be the first partner Ultimate (Perfect) debut. This may seem early comparing to Adventure (episode 16 for dark evo and 20 for real), but it's not all that far off from Adventure 02's debut of Raidramon (ep. 11), Tamers' debut of WarGrowlmon (ep. 14), Frontier's debut of BurningGreymon (ep. 11), and Data Squad's debut of RizeGreymon (ep. 13).

The original roadmap was somewhat predictable for the first 2 arcs but also became more expanded as the series progressed (the final arc of 15 episodes includes only 1 new evo). The lack of any new evos in most of the final arc made it feel out of place, especially when the toys had already released HerculesKabuterimon (and the numbered Digimon sheets had additionally released artwork for Phoenixmon, Rosemon, Magnadramon, and Plesiomon; also in the mix was Goldramon). If we actually get the Megas as teased in episode 5, that should help the latter half not seem quite as stretched out.

ARC 1 (13 episodes / 8 evo episodes)
1 intro episode and first In-training to Rookie group evo
6 Rookie to Champion evo episodes
1 Champion-level boss intro
4 paired-off episodes (with the last one being the TK episode, re-uniting the team)
1 angel of Hope evo and Champion-level boss final fight

ARC 2 (13 episodes / 5 evo episodess)
1 transition episode ft. Whamon and introduction of the tags
1 Ultimate (Perfect)-level boss #1 intro
4 Crest quest episodes (with the first being the dark evo episode)
1 Champion to Ultimate (Perfect) evo and second boss fight
6 semi-alternating episodes for the next Champion to Ultimate (Perfect) evos (and an intro to the next boss)

ARC 3 (13 episodes / 4 evo episodes with 5 significant evos)
2 transition episodes and continued Ultimate (Perfect)-level boss #2
6 episodes looking for the 8th Digidestined
3 episodes for the next set of Champion to Ultimate (Perfect) evos (with the last one being the Kari episode)
1 Mega boss #1 intro
1 Mega evo episode (the last new evo for 13 episodes!) and Mega boss #1 fight

ARC 4 (15 episodes / 1 evo episode)
1 Mega boss #2-5 intro
3 episodes with Mega boss #2 and boss fight
4 episodes with Mega boss #3 and boss fight ft. MetalEtemon's intermission
2 episode with Mega boss #4 and boss fight
2 episodes with Mega boss #5
1 angel of Hope evo and Mega boss #5 fight
2 hidden Mega boss fight episodes and epilogue

I think they hadn't created Seraphimon during Adventure (the Digivice V-Pet of Adventure doesn't have mega for Patamon). So, they may consider Goldramon as an option for a while.

Goldramon instead of Seraphimon to match with Ophanimon would make for an interesting change of pace, especially since the media seems to have a fascination of pairing furry bait beast men with waifus. And it's justified since Goldramon also has angelic wings of sorts!

Oh it doesn’t merely ‘work’; I’m quite confident that God Dramon was created to be an analogue of Holy Dramon (and possibly a bestial evolution for Holy Angemon specifically) in the first place, in a process that was later inverted for the design of Ophanimon based on Seraphimon.

Yeah. I figured they're the same. One angel and one holy beast. It makes perfect sense.
