Toei has announced that as part of their dub screening panel, they will be premiering the first 2 English episodes of Digimon Adventure:.

It isn't clear at the moment if they always planned to show it, or if it was added later. The current text lineup at the AnimeNYC does mention it, but also shows a time block significantly shorter than what Toei is, so it may have been expanded after the schedule was initially made up.

The screening is at 8:15pm in Panel Room 4 (1E03), and the 2 Digimon episodes are the first things being shown.

The full dub cast isn't known, at the moment we only know Zeno Robinson is Taichi & Ben Diskin is Agumon. The dub was originally announced at Digimon Con earlier this year with a trailer and comments from the actors.

I have a bad feeling that Toei will simply dump digimon adventure on microsoft store just like they did with the first 50 episodes of Dragon Quest Dai

Sony should buy Toei Animation Studios so they have a better working relationships with crunchyroll

Finally I’m glad that we finally got some news about a possible real release for this series. I’m more excited about the Adventures of Dai getting a dub tbh its one of my favorite anime series from recent years. I’d love to see these dubs end up on Tubi one day, Hulu, or Roku, but I guess we’ll see in the near feature.

I wonder if the dub will somehow manage to inject something resembling a personality into Taichi. :p

I they brought back the guys who did the original adventure dub I could definately see that happening, but its a new VA cast and probably a new dubbing team, so it could go either way.

Now to hope the series airs on TV/streaming service soon. My preference would be streaming service where all 67 are dumped at once

FYI some of the Dragon Quest Dai dub is already on BBC Iplayer in the UK. That is a big change in the mix for here.

Digimon aint on it and historically had a home with the ITV channels

I'm glad it looks like the dub for this is finally about to come out and I hope we'll get more news about the voice cast soon. It's kind of disappointing though that Toei didn't do any advertising for this premiere till like today and apparently didn't even bother to tell the dub cast or to invite them to the screening. Zeno Robinson had tweeted he was unaware this screening was happening and some other unconfirmed dub VAs also tweeted they didn't know about this.

It was realistically done just so they could say, if needed for marketing/press, it appeared in a primetime Saturday slot at a major convention as the premiere, rather than being a properly setup event where you have some cast, etc.

Well this is a surprise. Let's hope it goes on something most people have. ...I was mostly fine with waiting a week but... Maybe Hulu would work. I have that & am using it for 3 shows this season.

I would prefer new voices for the kids as they are not the same characters from the original Adventure and just to keep it true to the original Japanese version, the Digimon retain their old English dub voices. I don’t mind a new cast in general however many of the voice actors from the old Saban days have moved on, are old, or are even dead. With Ben Diskin in this dub I wonder if we’ll get some voice actors who were on Digimon: Fusion as well.
