Episode 55 of Digimon Adventure: has aired in Japan so...
We have the video for the 5th ED for Digimon Adventure:! It features new artwork and animation of the kids and their Digimon, plus the new song 'Dreamers' by Ateez.
The ED was directed by Yukio Kaizawa, well known to Digimon fans. He was the director of the 2nd ED for Adventure:, and also the series director for Tamers, Frontier, and Hunters, plus various episodes of Xros Wars.
The song works well as an end theme overall, if a bit lower energy than prior ED songs, and plays well with the imagery, which sticks to the standard overall art style of the show, mixing in evo imagery from the show itself along with mostly static images with minimal animated flair.
The album containing the song is up for pre-order on CD, and is out later this month.
The covers for the 3 different versions.
Normal is on the left.
Special with DVD (Type A) is middle.
Special with DVD (Type B) is on the right.
It appears the only difference between Type A & B is the cover. The DVD contains the music video for Dreamers, along with a making of.
A 4h version, labeled as a fan version with a photobook will also be exclusive to the Ateez Japan website.
The tracklist for the CDs:
Dreamers (the new end theme)
Blue Summer
Still Here (Acoustic Version)
Dreamers (Instrumental)
CDJapan has a poster with pre-orders. The first print also comes with a random trading card. Both are while supplies last: (Affiliate links)
Dreamers Regular Version
Dreamers with DVD Type A
Dreamers with DVD Type B
Previous info on the new ED can be found here.
