Adventure 02: The Beginning Coming in 2023? Well, Maybe?

This is the 24 hours of non-specific 'this may be going on' for Digimon anime.


The guidebook given out at the Digimon Fan Meetup has a number of anime related things in it, including various mentions of 02 The Beginning.


The most relevant right now though...

A mention of it coming out in Japan in 2023! So 2023! Maybe...

Guidebooks like this often have little mistakes or other oddities pop-in throughout, as this one does.


For example, that little blurb says 2023, but if you flip over to the anime history calendar page...

To say nothing of having a weird mix of Japanese terms, dub terms, English-terms only generally used in a few countries in Asia, along with some various other oddities...

The movie is coming. And the mention of 2023 is the first time we've had anything said about a date in any fashion, so we'll see. 25th anniversary of Adventure and the Digimon anime in general coming up very soon...

Personally, I'm happy that my favorite film, Explosion of Digimon Express got represented. The part where the digimon exploded expressly was great.

Digimon Tamers: The War of the Adventures is the little-known film where Takato and his friends argue over whether Adventure or Adventure 02 was better.

I'm just glad that Regeneration of Ancient Digimon got some representation.

They still added Appli Monsters in the Digimon history even though people claim its not counted as Digimon and who knows how long a new Digimon anime tv will be made after Ghost Game.

Interesting that Digimon Data Squad gets listed under the original name Digimon Savers, but Digimon Xros Wars is listed as Digimon Fusion Battle 1,2, and 3

I like the new designs of the 02 characters, I’m looking forward to the new story.

Consindering how long we've been waiting, I'd be shocked if Adventure 02 doesn't come out this year.

This is interesting. And funny. But I would guess we'd get the movie this year. Quarter 3 at least.

The art of the 02 gang is fire. Can't wait for that to come out.

The very optimistic side of me believe we will get the trailer this year, not the movie.
