Adventure 02 Kizuna Character Song Albums- Covers & Tracklists

We only found out about them a bit ago, but we already have a ton more details for the upcoming new Digimon Adventure 02 Best Partner Series CDs. These CDs celebrate 21 years since the original 02 character song albums, which have always been very popular.


The new Digimon Adventure 02 Best Partner Series all feature new music and are labeled as "Digimon Adventure 02 Best Partner Kizuna"

The CD lineup is:
1- Daisuke and V-mon
2- Ken and Wormmon
3- Miyako and Hawkmon
4- Iori and Armadimon
5- Takeru and Patamon
6- Hikari and Tailmon


The singer lineup for the characters is the 12 02 Kizuna cast members, including Yuka Tokumitsu as Tailmon, which she isn't reprising in Adventure:.

Each CD gets brand new cover art of the characters with their Kizuna designs.



Onto the tracklists, with high resolution cover art! Each cover is themed as a selfie.

For each CD track 1 is always the chosen child, track 2 the Digimon, track 3 a duet. Track 4 is a conversation between the characters.

All 6 CDs will be released on August 1st for 1,500 yen each. Pre-orders are open now and are exclusive to Aniga-ter (although an appearance at DigiFes wouldn't be shocking.) Pre-orders at Aniga-ter will also include bromides with each CD that feature the same design as the CD you buy, while supplies last.

I only just noticed that the covers are meant to be "selfies", which is why each human has one arm off-camera and why Miyako is holding a selfie stick.

Still very excited for these! Here's hoping info about the composers and songwriters comes next!

And as of now, they're still exclusively sold by Aniga-ter. Gah, I hate using expensive intermediaries, but I'll bite the bullet if the alternative is not owning these at all...

The official DiGiMONMUSiC Twitter account posted on June 14 that recording had just finished, so I don't think we can make that assumption, actually.

These songs might have been planned back then, sure, but everything we've been told thus far indicates that everything was recorded only recently.

Since the pandemic caused the cancellation or pushed back a number of things (including, but not limited to, announced 02's 20th anniversary projects or events I imagine), I would say it is reasonable to think that some of this had begun last year. At least the initial steps.

On top of this, a few of the voice actors are busy with other projects, rescheduled events or other recordings, regular radio programs and whatnot, so there's also a question of scheduling that comes into play. This was probably all neatly scheduled around their availability last year and I would say that we could entertain the possibility that maybe some recording had begun back then or even pushed to the end of 2020, but that the very last of the tracks was completed only recently due to rescheduling, or maybe even re-recording, if any.

Well it’s definitely nice the 02 kids are getting some degree of attention.

The ironic thing comes on Iori's CD since both of Iori's Seiyuus are present on that CD.

This because Megumi Urawa not only was Armadimon's Seiyuu, she was also Iori's Seiyuu on 02, so we can say she is the only seiyuu from the chosens who is back on a CD even if is just to voice Armadimon XD

I mean, this is the internet. Everything makes its way here eventually. But if you mean in an official capacity, I don't believe so. These character song CDs haven't been announced for anything other than an Aniga-ter exclusive release.

Mine have shipped and I'm waiting very impatiently for them to arrive.
