Another big one!

For Day 4 of Digimonukkah (plus it's Christmas) we have another big one, and a bit different!

A bunch of photos, with some videos, of the recent Digimon 20th Anniversary Tour!

Officially called Digimon Adventure 20th Anniversary Official Tour- Our Summer Camp, the tour was a one day event with a number of activities for Digimon fans.

As part of the tour there were a few special guests. Due to times/areas where photographs couldn't be taken they don't show up that much in the photos.

Chika Sakamoto and Mayumi Yamaguchi, Agumon and Gabumon respectively, were the 2 cast members who would be on hand for the later portion of the event. On top of them there was original Digimon producer Seki Hiromi, Digimon designer Kenji Watanabe, and the hero of all Digimon fans, Volcano Ota (who hosted the talk event that took place.)

The details of the tour given when it was announced can be found here.

The photos are thanks to WtW member Narukin, who also posted various things on the forum during and after the tour.

The photos are as he gave them to me without editing or metadata being stripped. Filenames were tweaked for organization, but minus one tweak (a burst mode photo showing up elsewhere due to the way his phone named them) the photos are also in the same order they were given to me in.

Narukin will likely be around if anyone has questions he didn't answer before about the tour. I'll generally only be commenting on things that can be seen in the photos or videos themselves.

All of the images aren't being posted on the forum, just a wide selection, they can all be found in the gallery though.

The day began with getting on the bus to the camp site. There were 3 tour buses total, each with a different Digimon near the driver for identification. Many people came on the tour with plushies to pose for photos throughout the day.

The campsite itself had them prepare lunch like would often be done on Japanese school camping trips.

Overseeing the proceedings were a few Digimon. A shot of Ota and Watanabe getting prepared was also nabbed. Seki Hiromi was also a guest for the campsite portion, and they all drew on a whiteboard for the tour guests. They drew a rather impressive number of Digimon.

Back on the bus to head to the previously unreleased location where the talk event with the cast members would be, the Toei Animation Museum. We've gone over the Toei Animation Museum in more detail before here and here.

The event was actually held at the museum past normal business hours when it was closed. The tour goers got to look around at the museum with a slightly different environment then would normally be there. The various Digimon decorations were there as you'd expect, and you can see Savers Agumon off in the distance.

The information booth was specially themed for the tour goers.

While there was a bunch of Adventure production materials all over for people to view, there were also things from the various other Digimon anime.

Savers Agumon has been on display at the museum for quite awhile, but one of the really interesting things to see for those on the tour was the original scripts for all of Digimon Adventure were on display.

Agumon and Gabumon were on hand to entertain and get the crowds energy up after the long day before the talk event with Sakamoto and Yamaguchi, along with the 3 guests who were also at the campsite.

Various shikishi were given out as prizes, and the people who won were kind enough to allow other fans to get photos of them.

A few final photos of the Agumon statue, Kizuna marketing on display, and a wider shot of the decorated information booth end the photos.

But we have a few video clips to share also!

A short one of things being prepared at the museum, but you can see a bit in-between the doors.

Agumon and Gabumon helping hype up the crowd at the museum.

A short clip of Agumon and Gabumon finishing coming out to welcome the tour goers at the museum.

The last video is a decent bit longer...

Agumon and Gabumon waving and saying hello to everyone. Agumon may also give Gabumon the business.

The 20th Anniversary Tour looked to be a fun event for those who were able to go and it's great that we were able to share a small look at it with everyone.

The images can all be found in the gallery

Thanks again to Narukin for the images and videos. The thread where he discussed some of it can again be found here along with additional images and details.

Lots of Digimon stuff is coming out soon and supporting us via our Patreon or donations would be greatly appreciated so that we can do more breakdowns and improve the site. Feel free to join us in the Discord if you want to chat about the release.
