Adventure 20th Collaboration with Hatsune Miku, New Art by Uki Atsuya!

A bit of fun news!



There will be a collaboration between the Digimon Adventure 20th Anniversary and Hatsune Miku!


A collaborative illustration was revealed showing of artwork by tri. character designer Uki Atsuya, who has also done CD art for Hatsune Miku before.

The exact details of the collaboration will be announced later.


There is also a message from Uki Atsuya...

Happy 20th anniversary, Digimon Adventure!
This illustration has similar imagery to the very first key visual of tri. (with the Chosen Children floating in the sky) with Agumon and Hatsune Miku instead! With Taichi’s goggles, the Digivice -the symbol of the Children’s bonds with their Digimon- and furthermore, butterflies dancing in the skies which call to mind the series’ famous song “Butter-fly”. Another detail is the wings of the butterflies have faint Digimon-like patterns on them.

Wonder what kind of collaboration it will be, a cameo in the movie, maybe a insert song? I'm not familiar with vocaloid so I have no clue.

Is it me or the yellow butterfly near Hatsune Miku's knee reminds Meicomoon? Could it mean something?

As mentioned in the post, several of the butterflies have Digimon traits. I've identified all of the 8 partners, Meicoomon, Omnimon, and Alphamon (and possibly Wizardmon?).

Edit: Correction, all 7 partners aside from Agumon. There isn't an Agumon butterfly, probably because there's the actual Agumon already.
