1st Vital Bracelet Series Teaser is Ultraman

The first of the Vital Bracelet Series teasers became animated enough to be able to make out that it is Ultraman.

Once everything for the Vital Bracelet Series is formally announced, we will only be covering Digimon related items regarding it.

It might still be related to Digimon if the DIMs work in Digimon cards and you can connect them and Jogress with them and stuff. Long shot though I guess

Flippin knew it. Really hope it's a DIM that supports backwards compatibility, as it would suck to buy a new Vital bracelet for each Franchise's Vital Bracelet. I don't really have a guess for the blue and green ones.

The Tamagotchi Smart was just announced pretty recently, I don't think they need to use the VB brand for that. It would be cool to see something like a PreCure or Sailor Moon VB or DIM though. But Ultraman is a pretty big deal for Digimon, it's very close to a relatively niche American franchise getting to bring Superman in for a tie-in during one of his anniversaries for example.

I've avoided discussing it until now, but I've seen the listings or "leaks" brought up before on the site anyways, so I think it's okay to acknowledge that it's very likely that we'll see Kamen Rider here too. The big question is what the last one will be, since we've also heard about a Digivice-V. We've got 6 more days until we find out.

I literally haven’t been able to use mine yet because the wrist expander isn’t until next month.

I think it's possible that the three screens aren't for separate things, and this entire thing is only for Ultraman.
The "Be strong with..." on the website turned into "Be strong with U..." So probably like a letter a day thing?

Also, the Ultra on the screen is clearly Man, while the listings we have only indicate Tiga and Zero. My guess is he's available as an optional form for them, or maybe as a standalone promo thing like Black Roar.

Yeah, compatibility is the big question. I think it'd be great if you could jogress cross-series but who knows how likely it is. I doubt "levels" will work the same way, at least...

I wouldn't expect an updated device. My guess is it's the exact same device minus the DM branding.

Making the new Ultraman dims easily accessible for users that already own a device. And past Digimon dims accessible for any new customers the Vital Bracelet Series will bring in.

While part of me would love for them to just take the existing VB, swap out the DM logo with some other franchise logo and give it a new color scheme. Nothing wrong with the standard white black and special edition colors but some more variety would be nice. Plus the idea of going around raising your digimon in something themed after ultraman, or kamen rider, or pretty mcuh anything else would be nice. I have a feeling they wont be compatible.

i guess it depends on how much information the device itself contains, and how much is on the DiM cards. with some ultra heroes i can see something similar to the level system that the digimon VB uses working. though perhaps minus the two baby forms. Seeing as a lot of them have multiple forms and such but the idea of your ultramon tiga becoming Ultraman Geed or something just seems really odd.. But if it was more like the Black roar promo dims, Medarot dim, or even the Gachapon dims where the lines are much more linea then you could use Z and someo f Zs forms in a set up similar enough fo digimon's level system.

But yeah i'm definitely curious about the eventual proper reveal.

I think all the info is on the dims, a hacker was able to write data to the VS dim to add in a demon slayer character. If they are comparable do you think they will work with the same app? Or will you need different apps for each series? I was kind of expecting these to be like the medabots dim. If they work with the existing VB and app then I’m getting them all, if not I’m out.

It will be interesting to see if app compatibility is addressed.

Characters / enemies and backgrounds are stored (supplied by, rather) on the dim.

Swap these out and the VB wouldn't have any indication that it's a digimon device.
Save maybe the attributes.

But you could just as simply change those into types or atrributes that better match whichever theme you'd like. This info is stored within the character's profile on the dim as well.

The easy way out would be to make every outside character a free attribute, but that would eliminate the rock paper scissors dynamic. Which wouldn't be a huge loss overall imo.
