Been a couple months since an update on this...

With Anime Japan 2018 just a couple weeks away, they've finally announced some exclusive merchandise.

Anime Japan is a massive exhibition event in Tokyo between March 22nd and March 25th. It's more akin to E3 than what we'd think of as an anime convention (in fact, the first 2 days are all business seminars and such that aren't open to the general public.)

During the days open to the public many companies will be showing off anime merchandise, new and upcoming anime, and tons of related content.

Taichi from Digimon Adventure tri. appears on the Anime Japan 2018 key art (everyone on it is making a 5 with their hands because it's the 5th anniversary of Anime Japan) and that Taichi artwork will show up on a few exclusive items at the event.

We'll only be going over the Digimon items specifically, but I will bring up how many there are since the items are random chance.

First up is a can badge. There will be 27 can badges total and it appears they will be setup in gashapon machines. Each try is 300 yen.

Then we have a nice acrylic keychain. There will be 20 blindpacked keychains, but luckily they will be split up into packaged 'groups.' Taichi is part of the red group, which has 10 total. Each keychain is 500 yen.

That's all the Digimon stuff that will show up as official Anime Japan 2018 merchandise. At the moment we aren't sure if there will be any standalone exclusive (or early) Digimon products at the show, like there was last year.

You'll want to contact an intermediary to get these items sent to you. WtW is not affiliated with any, but here are a selection of intermediaries that have worked well for various WtWers and their friends in the past:
From Japan
Rider Proxy

Be aware many intermediaries do not carry items from events since they can't be ordered online. You will need to ask them and explain what you want very carefully (perhaps with a photo.) Some intermediaries will potentially still not be willing to get the item (or may only be willing to at great cost.)

Some of the intermediaries have a full store front and may have the item listed, so you may want to check that first. Realistically your best chance at getting these items is to find a fan going and see if they will get the items for you (some fans list small shops online for this purpose.)

Thanks to ANN for the heads up.
