Now I'm wondering what would happen if Digimon did a collaboration with Studio Trigger, who are famous for their love of western pop culture.
I'll work to see that justice will be fully served, meow~!

I thought Tokomon is based on that sea pig but now it makes sense... Even that Flamon and Hellboy. Dark Crystal is my favorite movie.

So Hackmon is the bone warrior dragon. Nice. Look like Digimon monsters are inspired from that Kenji's love of Western comics and everybody who works there suggest something from their certain favorites.

I wonder if he is still reading the new Western comic issues? Since there are so many new interesting characters.

for those who don't know Saint Seiya:
in that anime the female Saint warriors have to wear masks.
Here an example(left is manga design, right is the anime slightly altered design)

So does this mean it sums up pretty much that Andromon is based off from Robocop?

Not really. according to this interview Andromon's design was originally quadrupedal and based off some mecha anime (the wording is a bit vague) which doesn't really sound like Robocop to me...

Robocop himself took a lot of inspiration from anime mecha design, so they probably share common ancestry.

If Digmon doesn't star in that project, I'll sue.
It's all part of the mystery or whatever.

I'm disappointed Andromon & HiAndromon's design to Robocop movies are just merely coincidence.... But I didn't know there was another interview translation.

Interestingly Andromon walking...on four legs... Kinda creepy.

Surprised Lilithmon inspired by a mecha anime? I thought she looked pretty old-fashioned villian for gory animes...

    More Interviews plz
