    Leitmotif Usage

By which I mean: Let's do a project in which we catalog all the leitmotifs in all the series. I want, when we are done, to have a full list of each song, where it appears in the series, and what its leitmotifs are.

They've done it for Homestuck. They've done it for Undertale. Let's do it for Digimon.

Let's start it off with the first anime:

Something to remember for later: EVO (from Tamers) is a lyrical cover of the main theme from Brave Tamer.

As awesome as that would be, wouldn’t it be the opposite? I’m pretty sure Brave Tamer came out right in the middle of Tamers’ original run.

...oops. Yeah, you're right - Brave Tamer came out on December 29, 2001, right between the 38th and 39th episodes of Tamers.

Which now begs the question of HOW THE F*** THEY EXPECTED ANYONE TO KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON WHEN RYO SHOWED UP TWO MONTHS EARLIER. I mean, the last the audience had seen of Ryo was the arena he was fighting Mille on getting exploded, and yet he's now in a different universe with no explanation, with a partner that is definitely not Veemon. That had to be pretty confusing.

Also, Believer uses a bit of the guitar solo from Beater. Or maybe Beater is an extended version of the guitar solo from Believer. I don't know. I watched the dub.
