Scheduling wise they could get away with it very easily for the others.

Adventure and 02 were both coming out weeks away from when the shows ended '15 years prior', so you could easily go 'they are the end of the proper 15th Anniversary celebrations'

Because they decided to wait to do Tamers, they could obviously still label it that way if they want, but it wouldn't make much sense. At the time of the Blu-ray boxes release Tamers will have began over 17 years ago and ended over 16 years ago.

True enough, but from a marketing standpoint, something that has "anniversary" in the title might sell better?

Normally I'd agree, but when you consider that this was always going to be a roughly $500 set, I'm just not sure anyone who pays attention to anime releases in Japan and sees that the price is the same as the other Digimon BD-Boxes, the release appears to be equivalent as far as overall package goes, is going to look over it, not see a 15th Anniversary logo, and decide to pass.

I think the market for this type of set is simply 'the people who were always going to buy this set', if that makes sense.

The production chains for the animation in Adventure, 02, and Tamers was largely the same, to the best of our knowledge, minus how they output it at the final step (due to hardware, software, and process changes.) And that change was made partway thru 02, not at the beginning of Tamers.
Yes, I already had guessed that will most likely be the case. It's Toei, and I don't expect them to change and actually do a good upscale however I'm certain it'll look just good enough considering that the DVD source already looked pretty damn great as it is. Just hoping they don't apply filters that get the picture worse than it should look. It's a pity there's still a year to wait.

Pretty much this, or the feeling of commitment of releasing the rest of seasons. 02 sold much less than Adventure and I don't think it's because it was 02. It'd be neat if they commited to releasing all the series.

I wonder if this new Audio drama will be a continuation of the Tamers story, similar to Runaway Locomon or Armour Evolution to the Unknown.
