Anyone know when Kakashi Gaiden is gonna start? A couple of weeks ago on Narutofan they said it'd stop at 200, then 210, now I'm not sure. I'm just itching for some Akatsuki and kyuubi action...

As far as I can tell, they were just blowing on a pipe into the wind with their 'report'. This new little story point has for the most part ended (no idea if they're going to continue on the Dragonfly village deal) but as of right now, there is absolutely no geniune proof that Kakashi Gaiden will begin any time soon. And worse case scenario may be that it never starts, and Naruto just kinda runs into a brick wall and dies a slow and painful death, like Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X.

It's possible something new will occur during these new episodes 202-204, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I don't know about when(I heard 205) but I do know one thing; Sasuke is kind of annoying. With him always carrying his angstbucket around.

O_o Sasuke? You mean he's still around? (I don't watch the fillers.)

Eh... the RK fillers were quite bearable I guess, but I was okay with them mostly because I hadn't read the later manga issues yet. And they did kinda redeem themselves with the second OVA.

You occasionally hear of Sasuke and Orochimaru in the fillers. In ep 201.5, we actually get to see them both. Fun stuff.

I...HATE...FILLER! >_<;;

Arg. One Season of filler would've been passable. But after the first season of filler, there was enough of Part II to be made into an anime. And now, there's still enough.

What the heck is up with all of this? Are the animators waiting for Naruto to end before they animate part II? >_<;;

I hope the crap filler ends soon, so I can actually watch the anime.

But if they were to end the filler too soon, then they'd just wind up coming back to it in no time. The animators are holding off for as long as possible so they won't have to go back to filler for as long as possible. As it stands, there's probably enough new story to do a year of non-filler. But then guess what would come after that?

ZOMFG IT'S A NARUTO THREAD IN WTW! Oo Hehe. Anyways. Filler's over, as far as I know. Kakashi Gaiden was supposed to start 204ish, but I'm not sure exactly how it relates to this 202-204 arc. Maybe I didn't watch the special close enough; I fell asleep towards the end.

Read the manga, dammit

I hate the fillers! If they were all thrown out and only left the essentials then I would actually love this anime. The only real thing I like about Naruto is the couples, but I also enjoy the fighting. Well as I was saying, take out all the fillers and you get a great anime in my opinion. I mean look at Soultaker, Digimon, and Evangelion. There great animes, but they aren't very long. People tend to like an anime that they can easily rewatch and remember rather than three series of fillers. >:(

Is the Kurania(sp?)-aprentice filler arc the last one?
I hope it is.

Well, you see older Naruto for a few seconds in the latest ending... that's gotta bring some hope.

o.o! Screencap?

It fades back to young Naruto before you can see his face, but that's clearly Naruto after the time skip.

And since it's in this ending, surely that means the fillers should end whilst they're still using this. And since an ending usually lasts for 12-13 episodes, we can hope that the fillers will end in around three months or so.

Generally opening/ending theme hints aren't always executed in the same timeframe they're active. While this wont always be the case, we have a better chance of it next season, than this season. They may go so far as to 'start' it this season; but even that is up in the air.

Even this being the case, I am getting worried. They can hint all they want at this point, but it doesn't *really* look like anything is getting back on course; it looks more like they're just running full-steam into a brick wall. I'd rather wait and see what happens, than to have hope something will. Better to just be bemused by the whole thing and not care either way than to hope, and take the chance of getting them dashed. And in Naruto's case, several times over.

Well, bear in mind that Kakashi's past (which is shown as the time-skip occurs) was originally animated as episode 203, they can't be that far off.

As far as I've been able to discern, the suggestions that Kakashi Gaiden being in the 200's, specificly 203 as the rumor had purported for a time, held and still hold no merit. The fact that we've surpassed 203, and only have the closing theme hint to go with, it doesn't give much to go on as far as when things will move in the right direction.

Don't get me wrong on this, I want to hope it comes soon... but hope leads to me feeling bad when something doesn't come. So, basicly, until I see the first episode starting Kakashi Gaiden, I am just going to assume Naruto will keep running filler. If they haven't already planned to segue into Naruto 2 by now, there may not be any hope for the series what-so-ever after the next season. It's kinda the same shit that killed off Rurouni Kenshin in its time. Really don't want to see that, and I really don't mind the filler, but for the sake of the series, enough is enough; and I am just going to have to wait and see before I believe any hints at this point.

I guess I'm not getting so worked up about it, since I've only been a Naruto fan for a little under two months.

So, rather than have to slowly sit through the fillers, I've just watched all 207 episodes thus far in the space of seven weeks. So the fillers have gone a lot faster, for me.

I envy your stamina. I couldn't last even that long having to keep up with a show like Naruto. o__O

I once watched 8 episodes of yugioh and sometimes marathon shows. But that's mostly because I've haven't watched them and let them pile up on my computer. I might could watch that many narutos if given the time/chance.

Toraneko

I agree with Digi, if you're just following them week after week it's not so bad, but when you do it back to back, it's pretty much a brain killer, unless you have a lot of time to kill I guess...

Wow... why is everyone thinking it's suck a big deal that I managed to watch all 207 eps in 7 weeks? ^^;;

I had two weeks of nothingness awhile ago (I basicly got laid off of work for those two weeks, which was a bitch) so, basicly I drank and watched Naruto [this was back when 197 was still fresh]. I went through 1-197 in just around those two weeks.

If you've got nothing better to do (like me, during that time) and you've got access to the episodes, it wont take a hell of a long time to watch.

That reminds me of when I watched most of transformers cybertron in 2 days. Good series too.

Fillers ending Spring 2007. Confirmed.

Also a new Narutimate game coming to the PS2 around the same time, titled Narutimate Accel. I can't wait -- Narutimate Hero 3 is an extremely good game. I just hope that Accel isn't completely Part 2 content, as there were a ton of characters in NH3 that haven't shown up in Part 2 yet.

And parts of the internet rejoices. This should be interesting. Now, do you think they'll dub all the filler?
4Kids drops some of one piece but naruto is (of course) in no way, dubbed by 4kids.

YES! THANK YOU!!

God... I've only been following the show for about two months, and I was already tiring of week after week of filler. -_-

More new stuff. Come February, when the filler ends, Naruto is going to be renamed as a new series.

NARUTO -???- becomes NARUTO -???- ???

Naruto: Shippu-den, which everyone's favorite Pazuzu has aptly translated as Naruto: Hurricane Chronicles.

Now, am I the only one wondering if Naruto's voice'll be any different once they skip the two and a half years?

I mean, he'd be what, 15 and a half then? Just so long as they don't get rid of Takeuchi Junko, I probably won't mind, but still...

Suzaku
11-24-2006, 12:57 AM
I'm pretty sure Takeuchi Junko was asked about that in an interview or something and said that she could handle making him sound a bit older. It's not like she hasn't done a variety of voices, or that he's gonna sound that much older at 15.

Thank god. Now life continues anew.
Still not a big fan of Naruto, but this is still very nice, and after sitting through so many episodes, I think it's adequate repayment for some of the fillers being terrible.

Good job, Suzaku!

Woohoo! Finally can look forward to some REAL storyline in Naruto.

But sigh... I doubt the other Naruto games will be arriving here any time soon, the first Naruto Ultimate Hero was just released here. Bleh.

Waddaya know, looks like Naruto has one of those Battle Terminal things too. O.o

Meh, I've borrowed Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4 from my brothers' friend. Import version = Takeuchi Junko = Win.

Only problem is, no English text settings. Oops.

I love it how WtW's own Pazuzu is the one to break the story over the net. ^^
