With having the Subs out, and them keeping more of the true spirit of the show in tact, do you plan to watch it when it hits TV wherever you live?

Well, I mean yeah. I mean I watch the dubs of Bleach, Naruto, GX, & the like, despite having seen the Japanese versions. One of the main reasons I watch dubs is to see how they do & what they do with them.

Yes, I would watch the dub. Mostly because I want it to do good in america and because I wanna see Yoshinos Dub name and VA.

Heck yes. Why not? Refusing to watch a dub without giving it a fair chance (just because it's a dub and dubs are "automatically bad" or whatever) just seems kind of closed minded to me. ^^;;

Well all I watch are dubs (I live in the US), so yeah. Long as the voices fit the character and don't make me rip my hair off.

Let's see what the dubbers do.

Honestly, I probably won't for the majority of the eps. Mainly because I seen the original show first hand. I seen season 1-4 in dub, so I don't watch the originals hardly. Weird, ne?

In all probability, I just might watch it. I'll watch it with my little brother, as I like watching things with him. FUN. So, yeah, it's a 50/50 chance that I'll watch the show 100% through.

I will, I wanna see how bad an anime really is in dub after you get used to the subbed versein, I wanna know their new names and hear their new voices.

Hits TV? is it comeing to the US? and if so, what channel? it would be a bit closer to adult swim material since it has cussing, etc.

Exaclty. I really hate those kind of people. >>;

Also, it hasn't been announced wheter or not the DUB will come at all. Well, they said the dub might come in summer of 2007. But we really don't know.

Hey, I'd watch it. I personally have been enjoying some of the recent dubs of shows, they're definately not early DBZ or Sailor Moon. XP But they'd better pray they get Jamieson Price. ;D

Wait, dou you mean the dub. If so, you won't find it on Jetix or any other channel because it hasn't been dubbed yet. XD

I know but if it's dubbed one day I couldn't watch it on T.V
That's the life when you don't live in America bt in Canada.

I don't know if I would. It would depend on how good the dubbed version is. I loved the dubbed version before because I had never seen the originals, but then again I was like what....11 back then?

But yeah, it depends on how the dub does...

i'll watch it just to see how well they can either make it duubed or how bad they screw it up. Also if you live in Canada like some of do then YTV might get it you never know.

Devkyu

I might turn it on and then after two minutes, press the mute button... like what I did when I saw the BLEACH and Naruto dubs, then walk into the room with the computer and watch the original episode with the volume up high to cleanse my ears.

HAH! YTV doesn't air a show most likely until much, MUCH later. I mean shows like FullMetal Alchemist and Inuyasha went through all the episodes about 2 times before YTV showed it.

But back on topic: unless they completely trash the story or characters I would watch it. I also probably wouldn't freak out if I was to miss an epiosde or two but I would watch it. I'm a big Digimon fan and will watch it as long as it isn't completely altered. But I do prefer the raws/subs and would a lot more if I understand Japanese.

I'll watch the dub just so I can spite my friends all those kids who think they're experts from watching it, when I've seen it all in advance thanks to WtW.

I'd give it a chance.

I would watch the dub version to do a dub differences if it came to England

Mahzes

I doubt it'll air in the UK at all. =/

Terrestrial TV only got the first 8 eps of Tamers, and never showed further. Jetix showed ads for Frontier, but never aired it. Ever.

I'll definately download a few dub eps, just to see how it is, but I certainly won't follow the dub all the way through. If it ever does air here, I'll probably tune in, provided the dub isn't too embarassing to be seen watching.

I'd probably watch it, if I got the right channel, of course.

Can't see why I wouldn't.

I'm going to watch it if I find the time to get off the computer and go and watch it, probably yes though.

Looks like two people said no... wonder why. I'd at least give it a try, but it would depend on how good (or bad) the dubbers make it. Most dubs aren't so annoying that they'd make me want to rip my ears off. They're just bad enough to make me laugh at their poor attempt... but I'd still watch to make fun.

Of course. I don't think they could do too bad of a job. Besides It'd be good to understand it.

I would give it a chance but if it ends up as bad as the Frontier dub no i wont watch it

Hmm... I might take a peek at the dubs, but I doubt it will come out in 2007 in Australia... @_@ It seems like most western countries except Canada and America is lacking in dubbed anime. But it can be a good or bad thing.

Chaos Saiyajin
09-20-2006, 05:28 AM
I probably either wouldn't watch it at all, or just watch the first episode, to see how bad it gets screwed over...

I'd watch it. It'd be interesting to see how the anime will be dubbed and produced.

I would watch the mandarin chinese dub.

gerjomarty
09-21-2006, 03:50 PM
I ccertainly would watch it. Even though this is the first series where I've watched the RAWs and subs first and It'll be slightly weird hearing them with English voices, I'll still watch. I've done it for so long and I don't see any reason why I wouldn't.

Besides, if it is the same people who did the last few (previously) undubbed movies, I think it will be excellent anyway.

Just like the other 4 seasons, I will definitely watch the english version when it's released.
I know that a few things will have to be change for the U.S version, but the others were good to me.

I'll watch the sub as it's always the best! I may watch the dub some time just for the fun of it. I may end up probably criticizing :P. I wouldn't want to see another case of Daisuke again. I feel sad for him as he's a wonderful character actually.

no doubt about it, even if it's a crappy dub like naruto :-[

I have no idea why people complain about naruto unless it's about belive it but lex, do you have a reason of why you wouldn't watch a dub of savers?

If they keep the original background music for ONCE then I would. The background music is one of the most important parts to an anime. It sets the mood and adds emotion to important moments. Any dub that doesn't keep the original background music in my opinion is a bad dub.

I question that theory. The dubs of Sailor Moon S and SuperS kept the original music, but the dubbing was perhaps even worse than the DiC dubs. :o Well, much of the voice acting was, anyways. Dubs are hit-or-miss, and in the minds of total puritists who think even hearing their Japanese characters speak english is the worst thing in the world, there is no such thing as a "Good dub". Good or not, I will watch this dub even if I've watched the raws and fansubs over and over again until my eyes bleed.

Master Link
09-29-2006, 11:51 PM
Well I do agree there are alot of dubs that keep the original background music but have horrible voice work. But to me, the music is more important then the voice work. I find the music is what holds the show together. If the music is kept then I can usually stand the voice work unless it gets really really bad.

for some reason, i see the dubbers making masaru & touma 18 like yoshino. i mean they made the other characters older than they were in the original (takato, jen, & ruki were 10, but in the dub they were 13)

MugenSeiRyuu

They might do due to the fact that they actually work for an organisation.
