We first found out about the tri. Music Cafe just a few days ago...
But we have all the info for the tri. Music Cafe in Ani-On Station.
The tri. Music cafe will run every day February 23rd thru March 30th between 11:30am and 8pm at the Ani-On in Shinjuku Yasukuni-dori.
Entry will be free, but you have to purchase a drink. Reservations will not be taken.
First, we actually have a rather detailed concept that is fun, with the conceit that it takes place in the world of Digimon Adventure tri.
Before the full description... a fun list of the scheduled entertainment.
Every day at noon, 1:10pm, 2:20pm, 3:30pm, 4:40pm, 5:50pm, and 7pm the screens at Ani-On will light up and play the digest movies for Digimon Adventure tri. part 1, 2, 3, AND 4. Hopefully they hold the digest for part 4 back a bit since it opens before tri. Part 4 is even in theaters.
In addition, the OP and EDs from the international version of Digimon Adventure tri. will also be screened (the versions we see when tri. streams to us in it's episodic form.) It's mentioned that this will be the first time these will be screened in Japan!
No doubt during the time in-between lots of Digimon music will play, along with some other fun details that are explained in the concept for the cafe...
This AniOn Station is a café connected to Koushiro’s office and network.
The Chosen Children have come dressed in idol costumes to greet customers who’ve come to visit.
While enjoying the food and drinks inspired by the Digimon, the cafe will be a space where you can have fun exchanging information on Digimon-related things.
From time to time, the Digimon will be able to peek in from across the monitor from Koushiro’s office too.
Enjoy the Digimon Adventure tri. digest films along with the OP and ED music to your heart’s content!
And now, the adventure evolves--!
So the cafe will be 'connected' to Koushiro's office and the various Digimon will peek in (and no doubt have things to say regarding the cafe... probably involving the food.)
And since it's a Digimon themed cafe... there will be Digimon themed food and drinks!
First up... the food!
The first menu selections will be available between February 23rd and March 12th.
Agumon's Stomach Filling Plate: 1,300 yen- This plate contains a hamburger steak, a pile of rice, a nice small rolled omelette, along with a small salad with a garlic and tomato dressing.
Piyomon's Strawberry Parfait: 1,100 yen- This parfait comes with layers of blue-colored pineapple jelly, and other layers that they cruelly don't reveal (one looks sort of like coffee or caramel? and perhaps a layer of strawberry jam? along with strawberry ice cream as one layer it appears?) with a nice scoop of strawberry ice cream on the top. To top it off they add some strawberry and chocolate sweets, and what appears to be a strawberry or raspberry sauce and some fruit?
Palmon's Matcha Fondant Cake: 1,100 yen- This small green tea infused cake is put on top of chocolate sauce. And for a bit of fun... it's a lava cake! Fondant in this case is used to describe the lava cake, rather than the sugar topping most of us think of when we hear fondant. The flower appears to be unedible?
Tailmon's Omurice: 1,300 yen- A classic Japanese rice in omellete dish that's made up to look like Tailmon's glove with ketchup and corn shaped crackers (Bugles!) It includes a side of potato salad (and they don't mention it, but the picture shows a small side of veggies also.)
The second batch of menu selections will be available from March 13th until the cafe closes on March 30th.
Gabumon's Pancake: 1,100 yen- A thick Japanese style pancake with styling to match the marks on Gabumon's stomach. It includes a side of ramune ice cream along with maple syrup.
Tentomon's Tomato Risotto: 1,300 yen- A tomato infused risotto that is decorated with edamame, black olives, and tomato.
Gomamon's Sesame Mont-Blanc: 1,200 yen- A sesame and soy milk Mont-Blanc. It includes a side of black sesame ice cream, along with blueberry sauce. And those who love puns will no doubt enjoy this one. The entire dish appears to be have been put together specifically for the name pun. Since sesame in Japan is goma... and mont-blanc in Japan is mon-buran... the Japanese name of the item is Gomamon no goma mon-buran.
Patamon's Burger Set: 1,100 yen- A small hamburger with a side of chips and a mini tomato.
And of course, there is one more food selection. This item will be on the menu throughout the cafe.
Meicoomon's Orange Cheesecake: 1,200 yen- A no-bake cheesecake topped with an orange-flavored sauce along with a side of diced kiwis. It also appears there is a bit of raspberry sauce on the side (or perhaps chocolate?)
All 9 menu items include an acrylic charm featuring the color and crest of the character the dish is focused on (and the tri. logo for Meiko/Meicoomon.)
In addition to the food, there will also be themed drinks.
Each drink is 700 yen and comes with a themed coaster.
Much like the food, the first batch of these will only be available from February 23rd thru March 12th.
Taichi's Drink of Courage- Orange juice with diced strawberries and an orange slice.
Sora's Drink of Love- Cranberry drink with strawberry syrup and mixed berries.
Hikari's Drink of Light- A drink made from yogurt, strawberry syrup, and diced strawberries.
Mimi's Drink of Purity- Melon soda topped with vanilla ice cream and pink-colored sugar.
The second batch will be available from March 13th until the cafe closes on March 30th.
Yamato's Drink of Friendship- Cider is mixed together with (non-alcoholic) blue curacao syrup and topped with a lemon slice.
Koushiro's Drink of Knowledge- Grape juice is mixed with cider and topped with blueberries.
Joe's Drink of Sincerity- Milk and cold coffee are layered together to be mixed or drunk however you choose.
Takeru's Drink of Hope- Cider is mixed with pineapple syrup, and at the bottom of the glass is a few star shaped pineapple slices.
And same as the food, there will be one more drink available during the entire run of the cafe.
Meiko's Meicoo Drink- Whitewater (similiar to Calpis, a milky uncarbonated soft drink) is mixed with blackcurrant syrup and topped with slices of lemon and kiwi.
Staff will have full knowledge of the food and drinks if you have questions, and certain food/drink items might run out early based on what they are made of. It is currently unclear if Ani-On has a standard menu that will still be served during the Digimon Adventure tri. Music Cafe in Ani-On Station.
And to finish off the special menu, there will be of course special things to buy using the tri. Ani-On key art!
There will be acrylic keychains for each kid and Digimon. These are listed as roughly 3.1 by 2.4 inches and cost 630 yen each.
There will also be mini pouches! These are listed as roughly 6.7 by 5.1 inches and cost 1,100 yen each.
That's most of the details, but there is a small handful of additional rules/guidelines:
There is a limit on how much you will be allowed to order/buy.
No filming/photos can be taken during footage screening/programming.
It appears they will be cash only during this period.
If you're going to be in Japan during this period it'd be a fun thing to do to head over while this is happening.
You'll want to contact an intermediary to get these items sent to you. WtW is not affiliated with any, but here are a selection of intermediaries that have worked well for various WtWers and their friends in the past:
Be aware many intermediaries do not carry items from specialty shops since they can't be ordered online. You will need to ask them and explain what you want very carefully (perhaps with a photo.) Some intermediaries will potentially still not be willing to get the item (or may only be willing to at great cost.)
Some of the intermediaries have a full store front and may have the item listed, so you may want to check that first.
The prior thread for the tri. music cafe is here.
In addition, Namco (which owns Ani-On) has been posting big versions of the Ani-On key art as part of the countdown to Digimon Adventure tri. Part 4.
Here are the ones we have so far, and we will update as they do more... (the text is generally from when I originally wrote the updates in the prior thread.)
Namco, which owns the Ani-On, has revealed the art of Hikari and Tailmon as part of a countdown to Digimon Adventure tri. Part 4 coming out.
A better look at Takeru and Patamon from Namco continuing their countdown.
Time for a clean look at Jou and Gomamon!
It's Mimi and Palmon time!
Koushiro and Tentomon! Tentomon has no expression... which isn't odd for him...
Time for Meiko and Meicoomon! Somehow I imagine Meiko would be more embarrassed with that outfit on.
Yamato and Gabumon! Gabumon isn't dressed up...
Taichi and Agumon! Agumon seems happy. Only one left...
And we end with the obvious last one. Sora and Piyomon! I'm not sure who I like the tiny hat on more to be honest.
Update- Larger version of the Ani-On art in the poster layout.
Update- Thanks to new member Josiekoizumi we have some nice footage of the inside of the Music Cafe.
In addition, she was there the same day as Atori Shigematsu, Piyomon's VA, so we also get some footage of her enjoying the cafe.
