Chinese minis

So, a couple days ago I stumbled across this:





and I was wondering, are there any major differences(function wise) between the japanese minis from 2006 and the ones issued in 2008 by lingdong?
or it's just a mere localization, only changing the design and language of the blister?

theres not much difference between the gameplay. the only thing is the packaging.. for chinese or should i say hong kong release.. once you open the packaging you cant put it back again..

I ordered one of these and sadly it came defective, plus when trying to fix it, the screws on it just snapped. Probably uses cheaper parts--I had to send it back for a replacement. Still waiting for the seller to get it and update me on when he'll send a replacement one. Don't have a Japanese one to test, though.

Since I am fluent in Chinese I bought the PRC version so I could read the directions. It works perfectly fine for me and seems to be quality parts. Sorry to hear you had a bad egg midorime.

Nah it's fine. Someone has to get a bad egg sooner or later, no? Just hope I'll have a good replacement one soon.

There are 3 versions.

there are 2 types of minis.. one is from bandai asia ( hong kong ).. one is japan.. japan packaging is blister i believed.. same goes for version 2 and 3.. they are all blister.. but in terms of product i still go for japan.. as they are the original country that produce them.. although i dont play mini.. but i might get my hands on them soon

I'm sorry to hear that, I hope your replacement arrives soon; excuse me if it's rude to ask, but, did you purchased it from ebay?

once you open the packaging you cant put it back again..

I hate that packaging style (I think it's called sealed bubble or something out of that fashion), you can't open it without ripping the whole thing apart. NECA uses the same kind of packaging for their figures so my poor aliens are cursed to stay nib forever lol

I share your opinion watsia, I prefer japanese ones (even though both are made in china :P), it's not that I have something against bandai asia but in most cases the japanese v-pets/digivices tend to be more elaborated.
