Difference between D Tector version 3 and 4?

Hello Everyone

I need the assistance of you awesome members in the Digimon community please.

I would like to know the difference between the Digimon D Tector version 3 and version 4 (Asia release)

Like gameplay, Digimon available, evolution difference, basically any difference really.

The main difference is the Digi-Digits you could collect through the CCG to add Digimon to your dock.

The Ver. 3 introduced the Advanced Hybrids that didn't appear in the series, Digimon such as Jet Silphymon, Daipenmon and Rhino Kabuterimon. The Malaysian release of the red-colored Takuya Ver. 3 featured a rare Promo of one of the two Transcendence Forms, Kaiser Greymon in place of Vritramon that was released with the Bandai Asia release. This version also features the Ancient Digimon.

The Ver. 4 featured the only Super Ultimate Digimon in this game, Susanoomon, the strongest Digimon in this release and evolves from WarGreymon and WereGarurumon here. The Susanoomon ver. 4 featured a gold promo, different from the one released in the fourth release of the CCG and another color had a gold Imperialdramon Paladin Mode promo. If I recall, a Malaysian release somewhere had Dukemon Crimson Mode.

Does that mean there is also a difference between Bandai Usa and Bandai Asia version 3/4? FileIsland doesn't distinguish them, so I thought there was no difference at first. Unless I completely misunderstood your post and you were comparing the Bandai Asia version with Bandai America. ^^"

The D-Tector Ver. 3 and 4 were never released from Bandai America in North America. The Malaysian version was a little different in the cards that came with it and the buttons were a little different but basically the same as the Asian release. I have the Asian and Malaysian Ver. 3 that came with the KaiserGreymon card and have both Susanoomon promos but the device itself is pretty rare.

One more question ^^" Do you know if any of these D-Tector can connect to any of the previous Bandai North America digivices and battle?
I have one digivice from season 2 to season 5 (d3 to data link burst) except season 4 D-tector and what's so frustrating is that none of them can connect to each other and battle,

Your welcome and yes, these devices from the Ocanic region around Indonesia and the Bandai Asia Digivices are compatible with many different types of devices including some from Japan.

XD I'm back with more questions lol

I read that Bandai North America Version 2 has almost the same features as version 4 (fusion evolution, you can get the ancient digimon, susanoomon and you start off with all 6 members). In your opinion which one do you think has better gameplay? Even if you don't have the North American one? (not exactly sure if there are specific differences between both, I'm sorry to bother you although I should probably do my own research, but i'm piled with homework T-T)

I don't know where you heard that but Susanoomon and the Ancient Digimon are not in the Ver. 2. The Malaysian and Asian releases really aren't far removed from the Bandai America releases in functionality but the Digi-Digits you can collect and add to your dock are not accessable in earlier versions as the Ver. 1 and 2 as the ones for the later releases 3 and 4 that were never released in North America. I know this because people have gotten error messages trying to input Susanoomon or the Ancient Digimon into a Ver. 1 or 2, they just aren't in there.

When I input the Susanoomon code into my D-Tector V.3, the digimon itself showed up, but wouldn't let me collect it. I can only assume that it's POSSIBLE for me to obtain Susanoomon? When I input Ancient digimon it doesn't work either.

I wrote this sometime back, it was intended for File Island but never made it on the site. This could be due to serveral factors. Be sure you don't have a bootleg device, sometimes these devices don't have all the functionality of the real thing and there are a lot of them floating around.

The Digimon you have inputed will be automatically reqistered into the D-Dock if there is an available D-Dock opening.

The Ancient Digimon are Hybrids in this game, not Mega Digimon and Spirit Power is used depending on the trainer's level, you will be unable to digivolve to Spirit Mode unless you have enough Spirit Power to sustain the mode. This is most likely why you can't get an Ancient or you have no D-Dock slots open. You can increase your Digimon Powers by combining your non-spirit Digimon from another D-Dock. This was the case with AncientGreymon and KaiserGreymon, both Spirit Digimon. Your Spirit Digimon has the ability to borrow the power from one of your Digimon that is registered in your D-Dock.

Remember this, your Digi-Destined child level is vital as a low level will make it nearly impossible to control a powerful Mega or Ancient. A Human Hybrid like Agunimon will not be able to control a powerful Digimon like Omnimon or Susanoomon or the Ancient Digimon.

I believe Susanoomon, a Super Ultimate Digimon can only be added to your D-Dock in the Ver. 4, it gains 5 Digimon Powers when digivolving from WarGreymon or WereGarurumon.
