The last Digimon-Chronicle Boxset is finally out, and it's....the first series (doesn't make sense to me, but whatever).  It's a very nice box.  The episode encodes look largely the same as the last box, it includes the 2 'before the series air promos' and I'll make sure we get those encoded for everyone.  It also includes a few alternate promos for the last few episodes that include commercials for Bokura No War Game.  Haven't had time to fully go thru the disks yet, but I will.

Once again, im not scanning the books themselves, partially cause im a lazy prick, and secondly, over 350 dollars.....and im not buying it again

Adventure Box Cover (New Art, same as the 02, Tamers, and Frontier sets: notable because the original 01 box from a few years ago had new art and this one is completely different, and as is noticeable, the artist chose to use the colored digivices instead of the standard ones)

Back of the Box

Foldover Insert on the back of the box talking about whats inside and the other 'chronicle' dvd releases

Booklet 1 Cover (Memories of our Digimon Adventure, interviews with cast and crew and such)
http://www.db-destiny.net/adventurebooklet1dustjacket.jpg

Booklet 1 Front with dustcover removed (pretty lineart, same as the others)

Booklet 1 Back with dustcover removed (pretty lineart, same as the others)
http://www.db-destiny.net/adventurebooklet1back.jpg

Booklet 2- Digimon Adventure Story Book(has episode guide, character info, lots of colored art and such) I like that they used the photo theme, and put the end of series photo on it.

Booklet 2 Back
http://www.db-destiny.net/adventurebooklet2back.jpg

Box 1 Cover (Inside the big box is 2 smaller boxes with the dvds inside in plastic 'pages'), the DVDs in box one have Taichi, Yamato, Sora, and Koushiro on the diskart (4 disks, episodes 1-24) (new art for the cover, the disks are just the normal static pose pictures).  This box has new art of the all the kids.

Box 2 Cover, the DVDs in box one have Mimi, Jou, Takeru, Hikari, and WarGreymon (5 disks, episodes 25-54) (new art for the cover, the disk is just the normal static pose pictures).  This box has new art of all the Perfect Level Digimon.

The Box is nice and glossy, holds the DVDs well.

Once again, like the 02, Tamers, and Frontier boxes, there is NO Toei logo on the sets box at all, find it a bit odd is all, which is why i mention it.

Video Quality is what we have come to expect from the Chronicle Boxes, and equal to the old 01 box.

Audio quality is pretty clear also.

Any specific stuff people want screencaps of?

Nice box, any thoughts or comments?

if you wanna use the scans- credit me and wtw, and link back to this thread

Most Japanese DVD Stores (CdJapan, Amazon Japan, Play Asia) carry it.

The covers are so awsome looking.  The Box 2 cover is my favorite.

That looks so cool. Will this be the last, or shouldn't we expect Savers? Since these sell so well, I'd be surprised if there isn't a fifth box set.

The last Adventure box set had the episode titles included. Even though they were incorrect with English version influences. No list in this one?

Nope, at least not in the manner the last one had.

I haven't flipped thru the booklets yet (getting ready to head off to family) but I assume there is some sort of episode guide inside.

The one on the back of the old set seemed to be SPECIFICALLY because they chose to print it in English, even though I have NEVER figured out how some of those episode titles came to be

Officially there are only 4 chronicle boxes, they are all marked 'out of 4'

I wouldn't be overtly suprised to see a 5th and 6th one in the next year or so though.

one for savers and one for the movies

I'm really loving the new Takeru art on the first box. I think it makes him look leader-esque

It's really a nice purchase! I don't regret the money I spent for my copy at all.

I hope I can provide a translation for the cast/staff interviews in the Memories booklet later some time.

Thanks!! It really feels nostalgic looking at them..

Pfft! I never knew Adventure's Taichi is shorter than Mimi! Tailmon's not included in the booklet 1 cover.

Can't help spotting Vamdemon in booklet 1 back!! XD

There's no logo, but Toei Animation is in all the copyright text.  Maybe its just a design choice to leave Perrault off the box.

Oof, Perrault? Is that the cowboy teddy bear dude? He has a name? After all these years looking at him this enquiring mind wants to know. My failure of attention to detail rears its ugly head yet again, but that is something I didn't know.
