According to the trailer on the official site, we have a release date for the Digimon MMO.

Digimon Battle will be released in March

Why would you be surprised? They warned us of it a couple years ago.

...Actually what happened is that it appears that CDC went "screw you" and WeMade Entertainment picked it up instead. Apparently CDC wasn't the only company that had interest in it... interesting.

You'd think they'd pick up Digimon Masters instead; however, if you think about it, the original A. has more unique gameplay (requires some attention, and has FF time bars combined with the cards and stuff, as opposed to Masters's clicking and sitting there 'cept for the occasional skill... oh, just like every other MMORPG) and B. is based off of seasons 1-3 mainly, primarily season 3... which happen to be the much more liked ones, from what I can tell.

So yeah, we'll finally have some idea of what we are doing! HORRAY!

...and rest assured that that horrible CGI in the trailer is not in the game

Huh. I had written this off as never coming to pass long, long ago. I'm pleasantly surprised this is coming out, even though by all accounts I've read it's not exactly the greatest game ever. A new Digimon game is a new Digimon game, right? XD

I swear, this came out of nowhere like the Kool-Aid man crashing through a wall. We were told more than a year ago this game would come out, it just silently went off the radars... and BAM! It comes back out of nowhere to tell us it's coming out in a few weeks.

Very bizzare.

It says 'this March,' so I assume March '10.

Soon. Really soon but we don't know yet exactly what date in march.
