Thanks to jp for confirming information that I got a week or so ago (I had been looking, but no dice.)

Digimon History 1999-2006 All The Best will be a 2 disk 'best of' for the period between Adventure starting and Savers ending.  It'll contain all the intros, outros, and insert songs from well... the time period in the title of the album.

It'll be 3400 yen and come out on January 1st, 2010 (and yes, from looking around, that appears to be the real date, and not a stand in.) NECA-30257 is the catalog number so everyone can track it down at their favorite online stores.

Once there's more info it'll be posted.

A nice way for Digimon fans to start off the year, hopefully it won't be the only thing we get.

What a way to start 2010! This is excellent news. We only need one more thing to top it off!

Some of the best Digimon music ever, all stored on two discs. I think i could cry tears of joy.

Awesome! Great way to start into the year 2010!
Guess that means that the CDs sold well enough to produce another one. Now if only Bandai themselves would release something new aswell.

That is nice I suppose, but I'd, personally, rather have a bgm collection. You know, maybe they should just come out with a box set which has all the music ever used in the show...then again, that would be more expensive. ><

And so they took a statement, the truth of which was absolute, and made a claim that contradicted it. Lo and behold; it, too, was true.

I would act soon. I will not be surprised if this item becomes unavailable before the actual release. Japan Digimon fans are hungry and they eat quickly.

There ARE quite a bit of bgms that were never released (Mainly in Frontier's case)

Yeah, that's why I would prefer a bgm collection over a vocal collection.

Yeah, that's why I would prefer a bgm collection over a vocal collection.

I'm more than happy to agree with that.  Except for Savers, all the other OPs/EDs/Inserts have all had multiple CD releases and compilations.  BGM would be more than welcome, though I suspect that type of CD doesn't sell as well as vocals which is why we don't see one.

On a side note, I'm distressed that the publisher still has no information on the memorial book.  It's supposed to be shipping in a week and I can't help but feel the total lack of info means we're going to see the release date pushed back a few months again.

I'm not worrying quite yet.  Traditionally Digimon has always had horrible solicitation information, especially with books (not including manga in this), Digimon 'books' have had TERRIBLE solicitation information.  A few had no solicitation information out other than the 'title' before publishing.  There's so little information this time Amazon Japan doesn't even list the product as existing.

Like I said though, not to worried.

Although logistically, I wouldn't be surprised if it was released in tandem with the new CD.

Sailor Moon had one.  It had a Memorial Boxset thing, which I wish I owned...but Digimon isn't/wasn't as popular, so I can see why they wouldn't put out something like that for the series.
